Brief: We were tasked with using shortcode platforms to drive the Hollandia National Consumer Promotion (NCP).

Our Strategy: EMO Media used the shortcodes and E-Draws services to get customers to buy Hollandia Yoghurt. With this strategy, a customer buying a pack of yoghurt would receive a scratch card. The customer would then need to peel the foil and send the code to a Shortcode.

The customers who won airtime were automatically entered into a draw; which was conducted weekly for customers to win consolation prizes. Ultimately, there was a grand draw in the 3rd week to pick a random winner for the trip to Dubai.

Winners won airtime, mobile phones and 5 lucky winners flew to Dubai.

Results: The sales and marketing objectives set for the promo period were achieved and exceeded. Additionally, the consumer data gathered during the promo was sent for the brand’s further interaction with its target customers.
